Dartmoor Adventures

Last weekend we have mostly been trying to find places to do a spot of “wild swimming” and where better to try than on Dartmoor. There are many beautiful places that are dog friendly on Dartmoor but we decided to go to Dartmeet. It’s past Princetown on the moors and lovely spot all by itself with clapper bridge and Badgers Holt where you can stop for refreshments and cream teas or pop to the pixie shop!.

We wanted a quick spot of river swimming as well as a long walk for the dogs. However it turns out that Joe forgot to pick up my wetsuit so he got to go in and I didnt. Never mind…..the spot we chose was deep but calm without fast flowing sections just to be sure that the dogs didn’t get swept down stream but swimming could take place 🙂 I would highly recommend this area. It’s really scenic and we saw minimal amount of people, just the odd holiday stragglers making the most of the last amounts of Sun.
Below are a few pics from our day out and videos can be found on our Adventure Dogs UK Facebook Page.
